 SUMMARY OF SEASON 2025

​

The season was dominated by an exceptionally dry number of months and very low water.  Migratory fish, not already in the river system, had little or no chance to come into the Don from April onwards.  A rise in water levels only began to take place late September, leaving minimal time for angling success.

​

The Brown Trout fishing on the Castle Forbes water continues to hold the fishing focus and provide excellent sport to our anglers.
